Accessibility Statement

This site is built to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA. I follow that standard whether or not the law requires it. It isn't a claim of certified or guaranteed compliance.

What's been tested

Every page template was scanned with an automated tool (axe-core) and came back with zero violations. The site was also tested using only a keyboard, including the navigation and the contact and booking forms. The main path to booking or contacting me was spot-checked with a screen reader, and the site was tested at 320px wide, at 200% zoom and for colour contrast. Automated testing on its own catches roughly 30 to 40% of accessibility issues, which is why the manual checks were done too.

Known limitations

I keep this site maintained. If you run into a barrier that isn't mentioned here, please let me know using the contact details below. Page updates over time are the most common way accessibility problems creep in, so I keep reviewing it.

This site doesn't use an accessibility overlay

Automated overlay widgets don't replace accessible code and don't offer legal protection, so this site doesn't use one. Accessibility is built into the site's code instead of being added on top.
